Just a reminder that TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 15, we will be hosting our inaugural AFB x JAAC Discussion, so prepare by looking at Jason Leddington‘s paper “The Experience of Magic“, available online here.

One of the new features we’ll have on the blog this year are discussions of recent articles from the Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism. These will follow a similar format to the discussions on the PEA Soup blog: a critical précis by a guest, with an option for the author to respond in the post or in the comments.

The first of these will appear on Thursday, September 15! We will be discussing a paper by Jason Leddington (Bucknell) called “The Experience of Magic” from JAAC’s Summer 2016 volume, 74 (3). It’s available online here and in the print version, which non-Green ASA members will have received recently.

James Hamilton (KSU) will be providing the critical précis, and Leddington will provide a response. And they will both be available for discussion in the comments afterward.
