  1. E uscito dalla folla cittadina,
    un uomo, un picciol punto
    s’avvia per la collina.

And leaving from the crowded city,
    A man, a little speck
    Climbing the hill.

From the Madame Butterfly aria “Un bel di, vedromo”

  2. Hi Jennifer thanks for that. Interesting quote – opera lyrics…. we will see what drama will appear on stage today

  3. This piece is definitely one of my favored once. The light at the end of the tunnel, two shadows emerge, a very dramatic moment in the story, handled in ice cold manner

  4. “Somehow, irresistibly, the prime thing was: nothing mattered. Life in the end seemed a prank of such size you could only stand off at this end of the corridor to note its meaningless length and it’s quite unnecessary height, a mountain built to such ridiculous immensities you were dwarfed in its shadow and mocking of its pomp.” Rad Bradbury – Wicked This Way Comes

  5. When I thought about the meeting piece the last couple of days. I had a clear understanding who is who in that scenario. Francis = Hillary; Raymond = Donald. Seems to be the roles and winner had changed. What an emotional shock this morning in Germany

  6. “When you light a candle, you also cast a shadow.”
    ― Ursula K. Le Guin

  7. “Pulvis et umbra sumus. (We are but dust and shadow.)”
    – Horace, The Odes of Horace

  8. “People can see more than ever, yet choose to obstruct the view”

  9. “See, the night enfolds us! See, all the world lies sleeping!” – from Madame Butterfly, Giacomo Puccini

  10. “Is it here where you lost your senses?”

  11. I wish I had known sooner, time has no mercy for no one. Let me stay here, in the between, that’s where I’ll be..

  12. Here is a quote – seems to be the right one for today.

To live outside the law you must be honest

    Bob Dylan

  13. “Nobody’s very big in the first place, and it looks to me like everybody spends their whole life tearing everybody else down.”

from ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ by Ken Kesey

  14. Thanks all for the contributions. That will be a quite a challenge to choose the best… They are all good
