CHRISTY COMMENT: I can't think of any reasonable explanation of the events Darren recounts as being one according to which the Susquehanna University administration and philosophy department come across as anything other than nightmare havens of gross dumbfuckery and repugnant assholery respectively. Shame!

is the job market difficult in Aesthetics or it is the same for other areas of philosophy? I am just asking.

The are typically no more than 2 jobs every year advertising AOS Aesthetics/Philosophy of Art and even those that do more often than not list Aesthetics alongside several other desired areas. For example, though the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign lists Aesthetics as a desired AOS for their open-rank job advertisement (Huzzah!), they also list Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Law, and Applied Ethics right alongside it (Huhwah?).
